really happy to see everyone loves it... i love reading everyone's comments, great hearing what people thought about it a lot of the problems people had weren't actually problems, just misunderstandings (i am referring especially to the washroom scene at the beginning) Thanks guys so much for leaving your comments!! i'm still really hoping Rocky will leave some words for us...

true as it may be - but im still a sucker for his movies, coz i know ONE day, he will make another great horror movie....he has it in him.....eventually a great horror movie will surface again. And even his shit movies are fun, i wont deny....just not as good as his earlier ones. The first half of The Happening was AMAZING, then they revealed what the 'killer' was - then it just went downhill - FAST!

have to disagree with you man... NOTHING was enjoyable about "The Happening" except those George A Romero-like killings (the people hanging, the jeep driving into the tree, etc.)
"Lady in the Water" was the most god-awfully stupid thing i have ever seen and "Signs" and "The Village" weren't much better
the ONLY thing he has ever done right is "The Sixth Sense", which makes me think either he took credit for someone else's work OR he got hit in the head with a 2x4 right after completing it

well like i said the first half of The Happening was awesome - yea...the hangings...the people jumping off the buildings....dude, and yea, the people shooting themselves. Up to that point, the whole mystery thing was so cool and intriguing....but like i said, it all went downhill when they revealed the killer...zzzz
Im not sure if your a fan of Alexander Aja. but hes the most awesome horror filmmaker working today. Haute Tension (High tension), Hills Have eyes remake, P2 etc etc... all him! all fun movies. And Mirrors is out aug 15!!!! I cant wait....the trailer looks pretty generic, but i hav high hopes, hes cool!!!!!!

i'll agree that the first half of "The Happening" was definitely the better half, but that whole movie was just so stupid to me...
he made P2? that was terrible! it looked like it was shot on MY camera lol i havent seen High Tension yet and, yea, i saw the trailer for Mirrors. it looks pretty cliche, but not bad so i'll probably see it.

I've given up of M Night movies; he's too much of a try hard now, and his twists now are just crap, and why he continues to act in his own films is beyond me. PICK A PLACE DUDE - or you'll end up like Eddie Murphy who has not made a good film in years.
The Happening, even though Mark Wahlberg is in it (Love anything he is in.) I will not be even bothering to watch.
I think I will stick with his Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. (The only two good films in his career)

dude...dont mock Eddy Murphy movies - i know they are universally hated...but dude...Norbit was THE funniest movie of last year..i know, i know...its meant to be shite, tripe, crap etc..but hell if it wasnt the funniest things EVER!!!!!! rockyfan17 - i can forgive you for not watching p2 (tho it was solid fun entertainment!!!)...but not watching High Tension!!!! Im shocked...and appalled and dissapointed....dude, that movie KICKED off the euro-horror wave....OMG dude....go and watch it. Now THAT is what a slasher should be.......dude...violent, tense, and a killer ending. THe ending still to me is one of the best, well made endings of all time (tho some horror fans hated the ending) - but i loved it!

i DID see "P2", man! i said it was awful lol
and Eddie Murphy sucks! the ONLY good films he has ever done are the Beverley Hills Cop ones...
i completely forget "Unbreakable", but i did see it before. is that the one with the guy drowning in the pool cuz of the tarp? and that guy in the wheelchair at the store?

ok, the both of you - i dare you to watch Norbit and NOT enjoy it. The part where the fat chick was stopped in the public pool coz they thought she wasnt wearing any bikini bottoms (it was hidden under all her fat!)..HAHAH! Only funny 80s movies of eddie murphy that i like is Coming to America...! now that was funny...esp the day-glo afro spray classic! I usually hate comedies...so i dont know why a guy in a fatsuit is so funny. its beyond me! Another funnyguy universally hated - that i like - is Rob Schneider....'The Hot Chick' and 'Deuce Bigelow' - 2 of the funniest movies of all time. I like low brow humor, sue me! ok, lets stop talking comedies...before i ruin my reputation as THE horror afficianado of the board !

lol sorry man, i can't stand Rob Schneider or any of those Will Ferrell-type actors. i must be the only guy in the world who doesn't like them, but i hate those stupid teen comedy movies.
i was watching "Meet the Spartans" and, not to mention the 68-minute running time (the shortest movie i have ever seen, yet one of the longest feeling), i couldn't believe what i was watching. it was just so stupid... no point to anything - but i guess that's what film has come to...
alright, we can get back to horror, man. lol

i hate Will Ferrell...just for the record!!! And we have 'Meet the Spartans" at home, coz my brother got it, but im prob never gonna watch it...
back to horror - yes...! Im mid-way thru "I spit on your grave" - so u can go back to being proud of me....tho - its so tame...compared to the hype and stuff. And its currently being remade i think - i know im prob the only one who likes horror remakes...but they need to make this more modern and uptodate...make it a bit more scary.
I know true horror fans would laugh in my face for admitting i like remakes...but so what....some of the older ones, really dont stand the test of time...like Last House on the Left...dude, for all its 'banned' reputation, it was really laughable!!! The remake for that is also coming out, which i cant wait for... Only stuff like the original Carrie/Exorcists were better than their remakes or 2000's sequels!

i'm just tired of remakes, man.... that's all they do now... there aren't any fresh, new films why can't someone make something at least halfway-original? i know it's tough because so many ideas have been taken, but Tarantino finds a way to make new and interesting films each time he sets out. the trick is to take a simple premise and then make it unique. you don't have to start out unique; it will become that way as you create it. but, for god's sake, don't make "unique" crap like Smokin' Aces or Shoot Em Up... there's a difference between unique and idiotic, a very fine line....
