I found this news section Leigh and J might find interesting. Teenager 'thrown out of home by ghost' Saturday, July 11 2009, 16:25 BST By Daniel Kilkelly, Entertainment Reporter A 13-year-old schoolboy has claimed that he was attacked by a ghost while home alone. Daniel Wilkins, from Hartlepool, Teeside, alleges that he was relaxing on the sofa when an invisible force dragged him across the room and out into the street. The teenager's mother Beverley later returned home to find her son outside the front door - which had been locked from the inside. Speaking to the Daily Star, she insisted: "I know it sounds mad but there is no other explanation. Daniel hasn't done it to himself. He said he was sitting on the sofa listening to music when he suddenly felt someone grab him and pick him up. His feet came off the floor, then someone started pushing him towards the living room door. "Whatever it was then tried to push him into the kitchen. He said the front door flew open and he was grabbed by the arms and pushed into the street." Local priest Father Richard Masshedar has now vowed to assist the family in any way possible over the coming weeks. He said: "I went to see the family to offer prayers. We take it one step at a time and the first step was for me to visit the family with a church warden." A neighbour added: "We are all scared to death in case whatever it is decides to move in with us." Courtesy - www.digitalspy.co.uk/odd/a164638/teenager-thrown-out-of-home-by-ghost.html

Hmm thats weird.
Strange that it would just randomly start with something quite as big as that. Most cases start of slowly and as the person involved gets more and more frightened the "being" grows ever stronger.
The fact it is a young teen isnt surprising as most poltergeist cases involve young children and teenagers because they are generally an easy target, and with all those new emotions pulseing through their body, the poltergeist has something to feed on from them.
It would be interesting to find out the smaller details involving the boy, e.g. has he recently showed an interest in the paranormal, does he have a habit of lieing, etc etc.
All these and many other questions do need answering before you can even begin to look at this case in an sort of supernatural way.
Thats just my view anyway

this is sorta like Haunting in Connecticut....poor kid was a teenager too quite sad really...poor lad had such a puppy dog face to him too... Why is this story posted by an Entertainment reporter tho?

I guess with Connecticut though, there should have been the evidence of bodies at least, and his cancer being cured.

Interesting ...
Then again, if it's so similar to Haunting In Connecticut, the fact it's written by an Entertainment writer could mean it's a bit of promo work to promote the movie?

hmm perhaps Leigh, since Connecticut is just out on DVD.....marketing tie-in? im not so sure...
tho in Connecticut, many of the storylines in the movies were kinda over-dramatised to make it more 'watchable' - or at least thats what i read. I dont think the 'bodies' thing ever really happened from what i read off the net...the cancer thing, im not too sure tho.
