ewww Anime. The only thing close to anime that I can really appreciate, is The Legend of Zelda. It has some anime themes in it.. but god.. eww. Hate the stuff.

i always thought that mattie would be into anime....i never thought of it to ask mattie himself, but i just thought it was part and parcel of the whole MATTIE package... Natalia still does sound like an exact female version of mattie tho its so cute

You need to watch Akira then. That movie is awesome. Very violent too. Yay violence!! Same with Ninja Scroll... Then there is Ceres... Which is amazing, rather romance filled.. but cool(and violent, lotsa bloodshed). And Angel Sanctuary. A boy is the reincarnation of a female fallen angel, and is in love love with his biological sister, and she loves him back the same way... Anime is really twisted.. Japan gets away with a lot more than other places in the world.. An excellent example is Sailor Moon. They could not show a full season here, because of the Sailor Stars, and no way to edit around them like they did with Uranus and Neptune.. Whom them made cousins instead of lovers, and failed horribly, so they looked like cousins and lovers in one.. Anyways, the Sailor Stars are men that transform into women, in tight almost dominatrix like outfits. Ah yes.. Anime, the good stuff is violent and scary, and just plain twisted.
Shallow.. is that a good thing...?

Ack, I HATE Anime! It is so screwed up! I went on vacation a few months back with a cousin of mine (he loves that Dragon Ball Z shit) and he forced me to watch a whole ten minutes of that crap! Uggh, most horrifying time of my life.

See, Dragon Ball is BAD anime. It is pointless, and for the most part, plotless. It is the exact same thing over and over and over again. Strong bad guy comes, badly beats good guys, good guys struggle to keep bad guy from destryoing earth, while one good guy goes and gets strong enough to fight the bad guy. Bad guy and now stronger good guy fight for 10 episodes, good guy almost loses, then pulls some super strong move out of no where, and wins.
Akira is not at all like that show. There are some good anime out there, it is slowly being put on TV, but they tend to butcher a lot of it..] Akira is rather violent, but in a more normal sense than DBZ is. There are biker punks, and a good bit of blood.

umm Natalia - i love that your passionate bout GOOD anime (and not BAD ones)...but id have to say Im with Mattie on this one... its not just that i dont like Anime, its just that i dont like Cartoons in general....seriously, i know its lame, but i dont like animation, in any shape, way or form....i think the last real animated series i enjoyed were the ones from the 80s...like Dungeons and Dragons, Jem and the Holograms, The Smurfs and MASK....stuff from my childhood. Cant stand any of the ones now - not even the CGI ones, tho The Incredibles was rather ok...still not a big huge fan tho. Real actors in real movies - thats where im at. Sorry for siding with Mattie, Natalia

Hehheh it is fine. I guess I am just drawn to Japanese culture and all, I love the aspects that come through in Anime. (not to mention the stuff they get away with. Elfin Lied is a pure bloodbath for the first five minutes or so I have been told.. I need to see that..) CGI is getting better and better, and I still love the old cartoons. But anime has a place in me heart that will never go away. Might be partly because of the anime aspect to many video games.

Yeah, like Zelda. Thats the only thing I dont like about the Zelda games.. is because they have some Anime type of style. However by the looks of the new Zelda coming out soon, it appears as though they are starting to stray away from the anime look and heading for more realistic style, which makes me all giddy. But its still a bit too anime.. but I'll play it and love it anyways lol.

Ah well.. They won't mess around witht he characters from Star Ocean (one of my fave games) or the Lunar games.. As long as they don't mess around with my Albel Nox, I will be happy
I wonder if I am the only one here who loves anime and the like.

Shallow.. if there is one thing in this world that I hate, its people disliking Star Wars for using CGI. I am so pissed at you right now, I dont even think I should explain myself. The whole issue is pretty self explanatory.

What about people hating the new Star Wars for the bad storyline/script and all that?

...grrrrr... Dont even go there. The storyline was prefect. The writing may have been a little off.. and some of the acting a little wooden.. but ITS STILL GREAT *covers ears*
