The movie formerly known as "Bondage," now titled "Welcome to the Machine," may be changing its name again -- to " The Bondage." Keep checking its IMDb page to see if the name changes again. IMDb Page

i like "The Bondage" better than Welcome to the Machine, but Bondage (on its own) just seems better... There were some problems with it. But although they didn't go back to the original name, it is close enough that at least people who did know about the movie will know it's still the same movie. But hey, it keeps us on our toes, right? The more people talk about the film the better, so ultimately I think it's a good thing. But I do hope they don't change it again!

so what exactly is The Bondage all about? What is the name a reference to? Here is what the writer/director says about the film: I made this movie in order to show the makings of a so-called "problem child" and to hold this up for examination. I hope that it will strike a cord with a lot people, especially those for whom there are some misconceptions. I don't think that the pharmacutical companies who rely on terms like "A.D.D." or "Opposional Defiance Disorder" will be too pleased. They are drug dispensers after all, and without these labels a multi-billion dollar industry slips right out of their hands... until they come up with new labels... ... or until this satisfaction with defining a person by their "symptoms" stops becoming acceptable. There is usually an intelligent being beneath all that behavior, trying to say something, if we care to listen. Everyone, after all, is in bondage to something. It's part of what links us. Eric Allen Bell Writer & Director of "Bondage"

But I said that before, too. You won't see it mentioned until it has a release date. And maybe not even then. It's a very small independent film. I can't speak to that woman's case, but generally anyone who has been diagnosed is on some med. The two usually go hand in hand. That's one of the messages of the movie. It's a very political game that's played with childrens' lives. But it is a sensitive subject and it would take forever to discuss all the aspects of it. But the film clearly has a message.
