nice - finger not included! Actually, been going back to my 'roots' lately - a lot of rice and noodles since the weekend was over! Just had enough of the western food lately hehehe (but not in the desert department - coz your deserts rock America/UK!) having my rice lunch now - its rice, with a slice of ommelete, a piece of chicken, a chili paste sauce and anchovies. All packed in brown paper, and it was only about US$0.50. And its substantial enough to keep me full! Ok, it may sound not so appetising to the wetern pallate, but its yummy.

You were doing okay till you hit the anchovies...I tried them in some Greek dish a while back and, well, no thank you...boy, 50 cents!! I thought I was doing good on $5 a day...hehe...

dude, $5 a day on food! thats a lot - yea, we get food cheap here! And dude, the anchovies arent as bad as the 'western' ones. here, theyre a lot smaller, and deep fried till crisp and theyre put in a chiili sauce. You need to try em i guess - my description might be a lil off putting!
And, you get a lot of US$0.50 meals here - its like if one shop does it, another store does it too, just to keep up! So i usually spend bout a dollar or so a day, if i factor in a drink or some form of dessert! I tell you - sometimes i dont even spend on food a day if i pack a lunch, or if i eat during some office reception!
*keeps my piggy bank full for the dvds!*

Well, for me that was cheap...so, seeing a meal for .50 reminds me of a crackers and cheese package...hehe U couldn't find anything here for lunch like that...The corner Chinese place is still 4.50 for orange chicken, beef and broccoli and fried rice/noodles...at least it fills me up completely...well at least for an hour or so...hehe Well, I watch my Harry Potter and Jarhead yesterday...Still have to watch Howl's Moving Castle and Just Friends...Dreamer was postponed till the 21st...

crackers and cheese packet? SO weird you mentioned that, coz i bought a four-pack of those the other day. The kind like your mom used to put in your lunch box in grade school! Me and my 'girl' (?) - were talking bout it the other day, and we both had mad cravings for it, so we ended up getting loads of em hehehe Im just bummed how they dont come with the small plastic knife anymore to spread the cheese. Well it wasnt a knife, just a small plastic stick! Is Just Friends good? I might get that if there is nothing else to watch. ANd Dreamer? Thats the Dakota Fanning one right? I think its out here already - but not into horsies sorry, tho i do like Dakota Fanning usually

After I said that I had to get some...the ones I got had the little red plastic "spreader" in them still...Kraft brand...and yes, I am regretting it... Don't know, haven't watched it yet...Yeah, Dakota Fanning and a horse...not a horse face, but a horse...hehe...She is good though, want to see how she does after she gets her braces off though...

thats the one i was talking bout - the little red plastic 'spreader'!!! Its just that i cant find the proper Kraft ones anymore - the one i bought, was Kraft (?) perhaps, but i cant remember the brand. it was blue in color for the 4-pack! and dude, i loved eating the leftover cheese on that 'spreader'! the one i got didnt have a spreader - so i had to like dip the biscuit into the cheese and it wasnt as fun! that wasnt how i ate it as a kid, so it sucked! OMG, i need to get my mom to pack me some in my lunch box tomorrow!

Yeah, trying to scrape every last bit out of the plastic container... hehe, better watch out, they are addictive...and if she can't find them, you could always try Velvetta and Keebler Club Crackers...pretty much the same thing...just no red stick...

well they aint the same without the red stick!
And dude, you mentioned pretzels - im sorta on a pretzel overload today. My mom bought a lot of those big ones...im not a fan of them...they j ust seem tasteless. Id rather have the smaller, salty crunchy ones (though im not a fan of them either!)
Just had dinner - too stuffed to be thinking bout food again. Full!

Here's a funny one...went back to buy more and they are now called Ritz Cheese and Crackers...don't know if I just didn't notice before or what, but they are the same thing...they also have oreo cookie sticks and cream...as to pretzels, I prefer the old fashioned, sourdough ones cuz they are tastier...

we dont get Oreo cookie sticks with cream - but thats a good idea there! I can see that working!
We do get the cheeses in lots of flavor tho - the ones in the snack packs! Pizza flavored, extra strong cheese, cheddar cheese etc!
And we are not pretzel people here at all! In fact they dont sell pretzels here! My mom just bought me loads coz she went on vacation - and they usually get me stuff that you cant get here!

Now that would be nice...more than one flavor of cheese in the snack packs...just plain "cheese" flavor...probably a cheddar or american cheese mix... I guess pretzels get kinda boring...but you have all those other wonderful flavors...I was tempted to order some Twisties while I was at it...but a case of those was $65...and all one flavor...guess I would have gotten sick of them...there are some that I can get from Canada, but not too tempting...like Curry flavored Lays!! We got plain, sour cream and onion, BBQ and some other boring ones I can't even think of...

ooooh I absolutely love Twisties!!!! I love love love em, theyre my number one LOCAL potato chip brand!! Love the cheese flavor (the orange/yellow packet) and the chicken flavor (the Green/Yellow packet)!!!!! Theyre big in aussie as well (think they started off there!!!) - im not into the other flavors like barbeque, tomato etc tho - the two original ones are the best!! And another Aussie fave that we get produced here is Cheezels!!! The ones in the blue packet! Ask Leigh and all the other aussie boys in here, and im sure they grew up on them as well!!! I have a packet of Cheezels waiting for me as well at home! Saving it for my American Idol nite

I feel bad for you - if i could id send u over so much cheezels and twisties, coz theyre cheap here. Its the postage and handling that would be a bitch.
