I don't know if anyone else out there goes to IMDB.com, but over there they have a discussion about Shallow Ground. The amount of people who simply cannot grasp what the movie is about is amazing. They don't realized why the boy is back, who he is, and they don't realize who the real killer is.
Is it just me or are these people really not watching the movie correctly. I got it from the get go, and it is spelt out for us when the killer starts tying to kill the police officer. Why is that so hard to realize. Maybe I expect to much out of my fellow movie watchers, but come on its pretty simple.
Now that I've ranted, can anyone tell me if they had any problems with grasping the plot. (Bar the last bloody person who kills our beloved Rocky character, cause that was meant to through us)

i got the movie! I guess some people dont concentrate hard enough...... I usually get movies, but i didnt get The Usual Suspects! I couldnt follow it! I cant think of other movies i didnt 'get' or 'follow'!
Shallow Ground was really quite easy to follow in terms of plot....so yea, these people sure are strange if they couldnt get it!
And dam! how could that last bloody boy do that to our Rocky! Grrrrrrrrrrrr

hehe, I got it and I was watching 3 shows at the same time...heck, I even noticed a lot of continuity mistakes...but some kind of sequel would be nice (only if the "boy" is in it) though...

yea, a sequel without rocky just wouldnt be the same. But loads of sequels have been made without the original stars in it! So many come to mind - Wild Things - The Skulls - Bring it on
And the way it ended, Shalow Ground was so set up for a sequel.....coz the 'other' bloody boy was on the loose!

I totally agree, it was good if you could forget about that but at the same time it really stunk that she did not reprise her role as clarice.

well Julianne moore was ok in that! I like julianne moore - she seems really nice and motherly. She was good in The Hours! just shows that u dont need all the original actors to make sequels! But of course, u have that law of diminishing returns thing u gotta watch out for ie lower quality, lower box office retursn, lower expectations etc
