omg, I can't believe I'd forgotten to mention this! I saw a movie a couple of weeks ago that I have now become totally obsessed with:
Repo! The Genetic Opera
It stars Alexa Vega, Anthony Stewart Head, Terrance Zdunich, Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton (don't let this turn you off the movie, she's actually VERY good in this!), Bill Moseley, Sarah Brightman, and Ogre in it.
It's basically what has been described as a modern opera, with songs similar to Nightwish, NIN, Evanescence, and some other different styles that I can't exactly compare to anything else. The basic synopsis is this (courtesy of imdb.com):
In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera!
TRUST me when I say you HAVE to see this movie!

its out here...but comedy horror - to me, that the worst kinda horror-subgenre out there, im so anti COMEDY horror....but contrary to what u say, Paris Hilton is the ONLY reason why i WOULD go see this Im such a fan of hers :X I might give it a look see, once ive run out of straight on horror movies....! Watched The Hangover today.....kinda dissapointed. I mean the whole world and his mother has been raving bout this movie, so i went in with HUGE expectations...its was just ok, but not as brilliant at the box-office or general public would have you beleive so!

A cheesy horror called "Bid Bad Wolf" It was so silly it was funny. The Werewolf could while transformed, Talk, Rape, kill of course and generally poke fun at its victims. lol.
Wow, the only thing that made me keep watching is that I had to see how he was killed at the end.

Nightflyer....you ruined the ending of the wolf movie for us Bad boy! Saw Crank 2 : High Voltage today - fun action movie, i love the camera style....tho' u could tell it was made for teenage boys, overkill on the tits and ass and female nudity, but still fun nonetheless....mindless way to kill a weekend afternoon. And Bai Ling is in it - mental as anything, but totally sick fun!

Nightflyer....you ruined the ending of the wolf movie for us Bad boy! I think you'll survive, unlike the movie. Besides 99% off the time you know the ending - the bad guy either dies or ends up in jail.

i saw Army of Darkness when it first came out in 1993 (I think)....awesome movie....tho the other day I saw a bit of it on HBO, and the effects really look dated.
I so wanna watch Humpday! Interesting fact.....one of the main dudes in Humpday was one of the leads in "Blair Witch Project"....!!! How cool is that!

Leigh,
So I finally watched Repo after you mentioned it again, and it was interesting. The songs were good and the actor/singers did really well except for the father who kind of annoyed me. lol. The visual effects and the post world artwork were incredible, that is what probably drew me into the world that was created. Bit more gruesome than I anticipated but that was cool. Overall I enjoyed it, but was edging for it to finish. lol.
