ya it's always the shipping costs that get you... the order is never that much, but then you double the price in check-out
man, 10 HD movies for $100?!? over here, each HD movie is $30!!! (i've even seen one for $50 before...) even with the insane shipping rate, you're still getting an awesome deal! lol
i wonder what the delay could be on my DVD... i've never had any problems or delays before using Amazon... it's usually really quick

ya it's strange... they make crap that's not worth watching easy to get a hold of, but stuff that you want to see is impossible to find... that seems to be how it works lol BUT I'VE GOT GREAT NEWS! ...for me anyway... i just got an email from Amazon saying they shipped my DVD problem is, unless it arrives tomorrow or Friday, I'm gonna be gone when it gets here but it's good to know the film is on its way at least!

well dude, at least we know its on the way - isnt that the most important thing....
thats always been something i wondered bout - what happens to your parcel if the delivery man comes to your house and your not there? Does he leave a note saying you have to pick it up somewhere at their warehouse or does he come back again? Such a mystery to the novice - Amazon'er...

hey, it came today!!! it's finally here!! (so much for aug.8...) yea he just leaves a note on the door telling you to go to their building, but that's only if it's a big package by Purolator or something. if it can fit into your mailbox, like the dvd for example, they just put it in there like usual. yeah man, i thought i already told you... i'm going to Maine for a week! such a beautiful place! AND it's in the States so maybe i'll see Rocky!!! haha while i'm down there, i'm gonna film "The Inhabitant 2" cuz that's where i shot the original last year. i can't wait!!! don't worry guys, i won't forget you while i'm away! i promise! lol leave me some stuff to read when i come back! i'll be back next Saturday (or Sunday, i guess, for you shallowboy) i'm gonna wait til i get down there to watch Triloquist so that i have something new to watch, so i won't be able to tell you what i thought of it until i get back.

Companies don't want to get stuck with them, except Amazon for some reason. The only prob with Australia is that not that many titles made it over here because of the format war. America and Canada have lots more titles; will have to send to my Uncle who lives in CA and get him to post em.

oh yeah, i forgot about blu-ray coming out on top... (am i the only one who prefers HD to Blu-Ray?) yeah, with blu-ray winning, the hd titles must be a dime a dozen now... i don't look for them often, so i haven't been keeping up with the prices, but i know they used to be outrageous... like $30 a pop!
as for "Triloquist".... i got around to watching it while i was in Maine and... ... .... ......... lol i'm not sure what i watched. it was fun... sort of... but also one of the stupidest things i have ever seen. somehow, despite the idiocy, i actually kind of enjoyed the film. that doesn't mean it was good, but it was entertaining -- in a way. one grievance though... why did Rocky have to do that dance throughout the film? AND why couldn't the roles have been reversed - with the girl as the untalkative sibling and Rocky as the dominant one? ...oh well.
btw, most (if not all) of you have probably never heard of it, but there's this Canadian TV series called "Puppets Who Kill" (which btw is hilarious - i own the season dvds!) which is almost identical to "Triloquist". the main difference is that "PWK" is good. (sorry Rocky lol)

What can I say; yikes. I did watch Triloquist and after I finished I wish I hadn't. It is the first Rocky Film I did not like (Sorry ROCKY). Like Rocky said himself in a post, it is a weird movie; If I had have been stoned I might have enjoyed it.
I'll try not to give to much away, for non watches yet.
Rocky's character is not explained enough; the dance that Rockyfan mentioned is weird and not really relevant to anything but to make the character look nuts. His face expressions are sometimes confusing and I could not tell what he was trying to get across.
There was one time I actually laughed; the Dummy shoots someone with a shotgun and the recoil sends him flying. Other than that, I was smirking because it was so bad.
There is more I could go into but Spoiler territory would ensure.
Watch it once just to check it out, but maybe rent it, as I don't think I could bring myself to watch it again. (And now I own it)

ok..two not so favorable reviews - this does not bode well for me viewing this movie.... like i suspected, comedy-horror is a very iffy territory...it doesnt always work...in fact, when has it ever worked? (for me)...i dont think comedy-horror should be allowed if u ask me, not even something as acclaimed as Shaun of the Dead was good in my opinion.
Comedy in a horror is good in VERY minimal parts, but it u try to make the whole movie funny...then it doesnt work. Slither was the only comedy-horror that is acceptable, but even then, it was a pretty shite movie - just less annoying then some of the other comedy- horrors ive seen.
horrors should be scary, and not funny. and comedies should be funny and not scary!
