What's going on. Sorry I haven't been on for while. I have been serving on Jury Duty. LOL
Going into it for the second time I was bummed... I have to miss auditions and my entire day is gone. But after I am finished with the case I have come away with a great experience. I met a lot of cool people and served my civil duty.
So if you get that notice in the mail, I think you will end up having fun.
So how has everyone been?
This Thursday I get to see a cast screening of TRILOQUIST. I am very excited! I will post and let you know what I think of it. Should be an interesting film.
Well, I hope everyone is grand and I shall post again soon.
Johan... thanks for the newspaper!!!!!! That rocked!

I've gotten the letter to be in the pool for jury duty THREE times.. Twice I was under age... One would assume that when I sent the letter back with the "under age" box checked, they would make a note of it, someone was not doing their job there. Hopefully if I have to go it will be a positive experience.

wow, so even actors get jury duty? i didnt know that... we dont get jury duty here, but i know its pretty much commonplace in the US...and i know u cant really talk bout it much....at least, like u said, its something new to experience...something u can mark off in your 'done that already' list Im glad u got the newspaper article too Rocky, i knew u would like that - something for your scrapbook. Ill definitely send u more if any other stuff pops up here.....which im sure it will, the South East Asian region sure does seem to love your movies !!!! Happy Halloween Rocky.....!!! Have a great one 'Trick or treat' Johan!

ive had prison visit duty before (social responsibility that our company involves in), but never jury duty - trust me, it was an experience, but not a fun one! Kinda sad really.... and i didnt meet Wentworth miller in there either heheh

I think prison visit duty would freak me out.. The air of the place would do it for me probably, I do not like the idea of confinment in any way. I like to know I can easily escape and run off if I need to. I can imagine it would be incredibly sad though, all sorts of people there who are probably all depressed and such.

it was natalia - very depressing, especially the female prisons *where some of them had babies . And visiting the kitchens were just as sad...seeing how they ate and seeing the conditions. We even had the prisoners serve us food which was kinda frightening and surreal at the same time. It sure was an experience to remember. Im sure Rocky jury duty is less..daunting - but i guess deciding on the fate of someones guilt , no matter how big or small the case is still a big deal!

Oh man. that would be so depressing to see. The poor mothers, even though they did something wrong, it must be horrific to know that some of your babies first experiences will be in a jail cell.
And kitchen duty gives them something to do with their time, no? In a way it is like those prisons where the inmates work with dogs from local shelters to get them used to people. It makes them feel better about themselves.
And it probably wasn't like a prison visit, but yeah.. deciding on someones guilt or innocence must be nerve wrecking t any point... I cannot imagine how the juries of cases where they said "guilty" to a serious charge, and then years later it is proven they were innocent.

Hopefully it was not too difficult. Most of the time, or so the letters I've gotten, say they jury duty lasts two to three days at most. Unless it is some big huge case, but usually it is traffic violations, failure to pay something or other.

yea, im sure it was a small case...... i hope. Nothing too taxing for rocky i just wonder why we dont hav jury duty here. perhaps coz we follow the british legal system...not too sure. But they dont wear the big white wigs like they do in british courts hehe

Hey Rocky! Oh boy, Jury Duty? I haven't been chosen before but I'm sure I will some day. While I'm sure it's quite an experience and one can learn a lot of new things while serving, missing a whole week (and possibly more) of work would be difficult for me... Cool, yeah, please let us know how the cast screening of TRILOQUIST was. I'm looking forward to the film so please keep us posted with any release info. Hope your fall is going very well. Good luck with auditions! Take care Rocky! Justin
