Shallow, your post made me think... Lets all revert back to the original celebrations at this time of year, around the winter Solstice. Feasting, drinking, and whoring. Good times those must've been! And they had to find a log that would burn for 12 whole days. Geeze. I think I like these new yule logs, the ones you can eat

If you get Rocky in your stocking, I'll personally call up George Bush and tell him he is doing a fine job...

I don't think Santa will give out people for Christmas, as much fun as that would be. It would turn good boys and girls naughty.

Had LOADS to eat Lots and lots of turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce...yum! yum! and LOADS of mashed potatoes...i love mashed potatoes, extra creamy! Mmmmmmm *drool* and suprisingly after such a huge lunch, after my afternoon nap, i woke up starving heheh (yea, my world revolves round food!) desert wasnt that good..no pumpkin pie BOOOO! but i did hav lots and lots of cheesecake and christmas cookies (Im not a christmas pudding fan - much too sweet!) And i took home some candy too Took loads of pics too Santa came round too, but only gave pressies to the kids...darn it, i so wanted a pressie...the boys got 'Hot Wheels' and the girls got 'Barbies' - dammit, i wanted a 'Hot Wheels' What makes 'Santa' think that grownups dont want pressies! So many white families out and about celebrating, it was sweet but there were many asian families out and about too just enjoyin the holidays and the good food....*burp* yea, it was yummy hehe Hope you all had good times with your friends and family too Happy Christmas to one and all! And Happy Boxing Day! *and mattie, im still waiting for Rocky in my stocking... maybe santa was kinda busy this year*

We (Hispanics) also celebrate Christmas the night of the 24th.
We had a huge dinner, the four of us (my brother came down from Orlando) and we opened presents at 11-ish.
I got so many awesome books and dvds and a friggin blackberry phone! My parents felt like being generous this year. I even got the Hobbit in graphic novel form and a star wars cookbook (both from my brother).
All I have to say: WOOKIEE COOKIES!
Hope everyone's having a great time!

Yeah, I make killer cheesecakes. I follow recipes, but hey, I wouldn't know how much of what to use. I know I need a lot of cheese, a bit of sugar, three eggs.. and the bases are best made out of crushed cookies or graham crackers

Eh, how would I send it to you? I've contemplated sending cookies and stuff to friends before, but a) customs b) the travel time would spoil the food, c) the cost to send it there before it went bad would be WAY too much money. Oh, and is it even legal to send food via the mail systems??

i think sending food via mail is fine! ive had many a care package sent to me when i was in college in the UK! and the only downside is like u rightly put.....the cost!!!!! it costs way too much to send stuff overseas....!! but i remember i sent some food to my sister thru the post in the UK (she also lives in the UK)...and it was cheap! reallly cheap - so i think if u send it thru domestic mail, it wont be so bad, but its the international pricing that sucks! I still want your cheesecake tho
