thats the thing - im not into catching up on older movies. I just wanna see new current ones! I dont know why. Just have this prejudice against older movies, even the ones which i know i should watch! I just came back from lunch, and yup, nothing new out! I guess i will have to break out Capote later. Who knows it could suprise me! Just, nothing appealing bout it so far - maybe if Wentworth Miller played Capote, maybe, there would be something to look forward to! But PS Hoffman - nah, no thank you! Still, supposed to be really good...he was an interesting individual to say the least and a regular fixture at Studio 54...Andy Warhol too...now you should dig out 54 and watch that too...hehe...I know not interested...old movie...yada yada yada...

Dude, ive seen Studio 54! Ooooh, I was sooo excited for that movie before it came out! Lots and lots of reasons for me to go watch it - firstly, i was a huge, huge Neve campbell fan! And i was of course still going throught my Ryan Philippe phase (having just seen I know what u did last summer!), and all the images in the trailer of....ummmm shirtless dudes in these little shiny shorts!
We are talking bout the 1998 Miramax Studio 54 right, not some other 1970s 54 movie!?
It wasnt BIG in the box office, but i enjoyed it! It could have been so much more, but i think they were afraid to show more - i mean 54 is all about excesses and sex and drugs and stuff, but its like they only touched the surface with the movie!

I guess it was named different on the other side of the world...here it was just 54...but, yeah, that one...I think they just couldn't get much more past the censors/MPAA...as it was an NC-17 rating would have killed it completely...

ok, it mightve been called 54 here too. So used to calling it Studio 54!
If they didnt care bout the rating, the NC17, they could have done so much more with it! But, i guess all we got is the toned down PG version, with barely any sex in it!

thanks for that dude In fact , i did try to look for the soundtrack listings before - i did! Duh! Just couldnt find it! Suprised you havent seen the movie. I cant remember who it was, either Ebert or Roeper (?) - had her pegged for an Oscar nomination for her role and they had her listed as one of the best performances of 2004. But then again, some poster mentioned in the movie forum that he does that - with any actress that gets her bits out! Horny old man eh, these movie critics!

critics usually love oscar type movies, which bore me tho! this season, watched Walk the line (yawn!), constant gardener (double yawn!) and now half way through Capote (zzzzzzzzzzzzz)!
All the oscar movies this year have been boring - i seen Memoirs of a Geisha and Junebug which were minute-ly intereseting, and only Brokeback and Transamerica was good! But u know how much i love that movie - i cant stop gushing bout it!
Not a good oscar movie year!

The last Oscar movie that I really enjoyed was James Cameron's TITANIC.
