and how rich are you again.,,...since you work with microsoft dude, any chance of freebies from microsoft then? well im sure, still beats what i do in the office... and yea, id spend less time there and spend more time on the film thing! If only it paid right Larry...then it would be the best job ever!!!!! Speaking of movies...im having a garge sale next weekend...selling off like 1000s of my DVDs...its REALLY sad, but dude, its taking up soooo much space in the house...i just had to do it... Im gonna miss all the dvds...but i need the closet and storage space back...and im keeping like just 20 of my best ones...eeeeeeeek! such a hard thing to do... Well, I do it for love, not money, BTW they just put up a trailer for "Starter for Ten," one of my top pics from Toronto. That's the one starring James McAvoy. He is a very famous stage actor in the UK (he's Scottish) and has mainly done very Shakespearean type stuff with short hair and a reddish beard. He was in 3 films at Toronto. This is his first attempt at "mass appeal" and an attempt to introduce him to American audiences with a romantic comedy/coming-of-age drama set in 1985. They really "fluffed it up" a bit. It isn't that corny. But you get an idea. www.empireonline.com/futurefilms/film.asp?id=132949

Lighthearted, sense of humor...he never stopped smiling. He's very bright and streetwise, much more mature than his age. He's handling his fame very very well.

e woI just FINALLY managed to watch my Stormbreaker DVD just now...decent enough movie, tho it was SOOO cartoony in places..ewan mcgregor was wasted, and what the hell is Alicia Silverstone doing in this thing....(in one scene she was wearing this tight top, and her stomach was so huge...poor gurl!)
lets see how many cliches this spy flick had.. Foreign baddie...check...(amerian this time) Slow death plan for the hero (giving him time to escape)...check Geek in HQ with all the spy gadgets....check bad guys evil german hench men...check hehehe
ok, that Alex Pettyfer dude...SUCH a hottie, and i loved his wardrobe. He has exactly the sorta build im going for...that lean skinniness...and he has the hottest tight fitting jackets...mmm i want that wardrobe!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he has cool hair.. too bad he got a buzz cut, totally doesnt suit him!! the long surfer kid look so much suits him! I dont like his english accent tho - SOOOO posh, too posh even for me!
overall, id give it a 7/10 for popcorn fun (tho overly cliche'd) and 10/10 for hotness....you can kiss his ass Daniel Craig!!!!!!!!!!

Glad you finally got to see it! My feeling is that it was all tongue-in-cheek, i.e., it's supposed to be full of cliches. The idea was basically to (hopefully) create a James Bond-like franchise for a new generation. And the Bond films are just as formulaic. After all, that's what the genre requires. Without the cliches, it wouldn't work as one of what would theoretically be a series.
I'm a bit biased regarding Alex's role as he was sitting next to me at the time I saw it, but it was a lot more fun that I'd expected. I was actually quite entertained.
He does talk like that in real life, by the way. Although I suppose they could have gotten him a dialect coach to make his accent "less proper."

yea..his accent is totally 'proper' kinda intimidating...u can tell hes from a posh-er part of the UK...! not a 'common' accent, thats for sure..
yea dude, the movie was kinda entertaining..i wasnt bored in the least, just that it was cliched...thats all dude, not that im complaining..
OMG dude, i was in awe of all the eye candy on screen, and u got the frikkin dude sitting next too u..how many times must i feel jealous of you!!! OMG, that dude, NEXT to you...THAT CLOSE to you...OMG im sooo jealous! i bet hes even hotter in person, tho did he hav the buzz cut when he was with u? or still the long hot hair?
and kinda pissed that the movie sorta bombed in the US...aww
