50cents and issue! I worked it out and we prob get it for like US$5.00 per issue! Freaking expensive isnt it! f**k, 50cents! Man, at those prices Id subscribe to all the magazines there! I only limit myself to EW and maybe US weekly and People....I feel guilty if i splurge on a Premiere! those r way too expensive. Poor me!
While on holiday i saw the funniest American magazine for sale....it was a magazine for the Southern Americans in the US. It was called " Y'all " magazine. I just cracked up - it just seems kinda red-necky hehehe. You guys sure do have magazines for everyone and anybody there. Too bad most dont make it over here....just the big name mags like Vogue, people, O, GQ etc etc

I won't even mention Premiere...hehe...Now, when US was a monthly I was paying 9 a year for it...but when it went weekly, I got the first year free and the renewal was a no way...I did get my asst a subscription to Teem People cuz she likes that one...it was pretty cheap too... Yeah, the magazine stands around here a funny sometimes...I see some and have to say why...who reads that, etc...

hehehe i read teen people sometimes - its sad, but a guilty pleasure. Plus they worship jesse mccartney, so i get my fix! dude im sure we dont even get one quarter of the magazines u get! Like, there must be a magazine for everything. is there one for the obsessive compulsive in your life? OCD monthly perhaps or is it quarterly! who reads these anyways, and dude, the fact that they are still in circulation speaks volumes! People actually work for these magazines

Yeah, but then again...there are some that should have been stopped some time ago...from what I've read before a lot of these keep going because of advertising dollars...just look at some of them...70 pages of which 40 (or more) pages are ads...

i know - Details magazine is practically ALL ads, but i guess some of the ads are worth the pictures....but when it comes to a mag which i really wanna read for articles, Like Ent. Weekly, all the ads sure does not make it worth it, especially since im paying an arm and leg for it! We do get local magazines of course - but they are all celebrity news and stuff, but i dont follow the local scene! Its really embaressing to tell you the truth - some of the local stars here make your D-listers seem like Oscar worthy people

I liked it better when it first came out...not as many ads...they actually had some good articles too... hehe, sorry to hear that...but, I think it's like that all over...just look at some of the actors we have...hehe

In the office, im the shy, loner dude who doesnt mix with anyone! Just shows you - careful of that quiet dude in the office. His mind is worse than the outgoing noisy dude! You have been warned!

and you know where i learnt that the 'quiet ones are the ones to watch out for'! I still remember that from a line from Charles in Charge back in the 80s, where Nicole Eggert was telling Scott Baio that the quiet dude in class became this monster when they were alone, and 'she liked it!'. Sings "charles in charge of our days and our nights, charles in charge of me,......"

I can sing it even without the lyric sheet! Its just one of those songs you dont forget. In fact out of all the 80s sitcoms, it had the most sing-able song. Even more than Whos the Boss, Family ties etc. Scott Baio never did anything for me tho, nor did buddy! Maybe for the time when i was watchin and in grade school/junior high, these dude were much too old for me! Wonder if i would have thought different if watched the show in my teens (which i did for a bit, but ummm....still no attraction!) Love how i turned this thread from a Charles in Charge singalong to a 'why didnt i fancy Scott Baio thread!?"

So, were you a fan of the first season or when the family changed in the second season...Jonathan Ward or Alex Polinsky? hehe, you were in JH then... Also remember that Charles in Charge, Season 1 drops February 14th!!! I already pre-ordered mine...hehe

well, i saw both seasons....Jonathan ward was kinda too geeky for me...my tastes for geekiness hadnt developed then, unlike now where im on geek-fetish-overdrive!
Alex Polinsky...well, also not my taste back then. But then i was still in JH. Maybe coz he was kinda chubby (not too chubby, but just a bit!).
Ok, speaking of Jonathan Ward....I got this really weird story on him! In another 80s show. He was caught hiding in a closet with this girl (dressed up as a boy) - and were both caught kissing! And when the people opened the door, they were like OMG!!!!
And this was my first childhood exposure where people could actually 'fathom' guy on guy kissing! It really confused me greatly! Mightve been 9 or something that time, but i was like, WAIT, how can people assume they were 2 dudes kissing, that just doesnt happen!
Dudes, i was sooooo sicked out (sorry to say) when i saw that image as a kid (I guess i was to young to know i was into guys and that people did that sorta thing!)
And that people is my first ever childhood realisation on guy on guy kissing! A very true story, which i hadnt thought about for so long. And only coz ringy mentions Jonathan Ward!
